WELCOME!

I am a Professor of Political Science at Saarland University (USAAR). Before, I was assistant professor at Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU Munich) and researcher at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES). In addition to my habilitation at LMU Munich (2022), I hold a PhD degree in Political Science (2012) from the University of Stuttgart (German-Franco Graduate School together with Sciences Po Bordeaux) and a Master degree in Sociology and Romance Studies (2007) from the University of Heidelberg.

My research interests include political sociology, European Union studies,  comparative politics, and gender studies. My work was published in the European Journal of Political Research, European Union Politics, the International Political Science Review, the Journal for European Integration, the Journal of Common Market Studies, the Journal of European Public Policy, Party Politics, Political Communication, Politics, Politics & Governance, Regional & Federal Studies, West European Politics and the German journals Zeitschrift für Vergleichende Politikwissenschaft and Zeitschrift für Parlamentsfragen as well as in several edited volumes. Since 2021, I am co-leader of the DVPW working group AKER.

My nonacademic self enjoys the time together with the family including two (more often than not) lovely little girls.

If you are interested in my research and teaching, you are very welcome to have a look at this website. Thank you and enjoy!
