I am a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at the Geschwister-Scholl-Institute of Political Science at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU Munich). Before, I was researcher at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES). In addition to my recent habilitation at LMU Munich, I hold a PhD degree in Political Science from the University of Stuttgart (German-Franco Graduate School together with Sciences Po Bordeaux) and a Master degree in Sociology and Romance Studies from the University of Heidelberg.

My research interests include political sociology, European Union studies,  comparative politics, and gender studies. My work was published in the European Journal of Political Research, European Union Politics, the International Political Science Review, the Journal for European Integration, the Journal of Common Market Studies, the Journal of European Public Policy, Party Politics, Political Communication, Politics, Politics & Governance, Regional & Federal Studies, West European Politics and the German journals Zeitschrift für Vergleichende Politikwissenschaft and Zeitschrift für Parlamentsfragen as well as in several edited volumes. Since 2020, I am associate editor within the section 'Political Participation' of Frontiers in Political Science. Since 2021, I am co-leader of the DVPW working group AKER. Until 2021,  I was the gender equality officer at the Faculty of Social Sciences at LMU Munich for more gender equality in academia (see our new 2021 gender equality report).

My nonacademic self enjoys the time together with the family including two (more often than not) lovely little girls. But as a member of the local committee OV STOFF, politics plays a role in my private life, too.
